WHAT TIME SHOULD I COME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

You should arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment. This will allow you time to fill out any paper work and ask any questions prior to your appointment.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING TO MY APPOINTMENT?

If you have dental insurance please bring your insurance card or insurance information so that the receptionist may verify your insurance while you are here. Please bring a current list of all your medications including over the counter medications, vitamins, and supplements.

MAY MY MINOR CHILD COME TO HIS FIRST APPOINTMENT WITHOUT A PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN?

No. A minor must be accompanied by a parent or legal a guardian at his first appointment. There are legal medical forms that must be signed by a parent or legal guardian.

WILL I NEED TO PAY?

A basic estimate for your appointment may be given you over the phone. This is just an estimate as your treatment may change according to your needs determined by the doctor. Payment is due at time of service. However, offered on this site are patient specials through Aspen Dental and flexible no interest payment plans through Care credit. If you have insurance your patient portion will be due and as a courtesy we will bill your insurance for its portion.

See our Financial/Insurance details here.

HOW LONG WILL MY APPOINTMENT BE?

Most appointments for children are 30-40 minutes. For adults 50-60 minutes.

IS THERE SOMETHING FOR MY OTHER CHILDREN TO DO WHILE THE OTHERS ARE IN THEIR APPOINTMENTS?

Yes. For those that are waiting for their own appointments or are at the office waiting for others, we have a movie room where children and adults may watch a movie as they wait.

WHAT WILL BE DONE AT MY APPOINTMENT?

Typically at your first appointment you will receive a blood pressure screening, any needed x-rays, dental exam, oral cancer screening, a gum and bone (periodontal) exam, temporal mandibular joint disorder (TMJ) screening, hygiene and diet information, and a treatment plan of future needed dental work. Most patients will also receive their dental cleaning, however, there may be instances where a more extensive or deeper cleaning is required and would require spate visits to complete.

WHAT IS THE TREATMENT PLAN THAT I RECEIVE AT THE END OF MY VISIT?

Your treatment plan is a customized plan of treatment designed especially for you. As there may be several options for treatment, the doctor will review these options with you. As you are informed of your treatment possibilities and their potential pros and cons, you can then make the best possible choice for you. These treatment choices are then formulated into a plan of action which may denote the order in which certain treatment will be preformed. Along with this you will receive estimates by visit, of what your cost of treatment will be. If you have insurance you will also receive an estimate of what there portion along with you portion will be for future treatment.
